Do you really want to succeed?   Do you have a special talent?   Put yourself 'in the shop window' and promote yourself in the best possible light!

.

Are you tall, dark and handsome, a double for Giselle or Justin T?  If you are a Model this may well be what an Agency is looking for.   On the other hand you may not, unfortunately, be what casting directors are looking for!  It may well be possible that they are looking for the exact opposite, or anything in between!    In TV, Film, Background Artists (Extras) or even Commercials almost every shape and size of person is required. (TV/Film Extras currently earn around £60 per day including all meals.  Some Models earn anything from a few pounds to thousands depending on their assignment.

It cannot be stated enough but difference is most important.    What is also really vital is that you 'advertise' yourself, and nor does it matter if you are a current act.

Here at Royale Promotions we promise to display up to five of your photographs and biography online, which will, by the nature of the internet, be available worldwide giving you excellent coverage and exposure to anyone interested in the business.  We will also notify known agencies and TV/Film companies, on a regular basis, that our site has been updated.

Animals are also well sought after in advertising and commercials etc., so give your pet a chance.  Spell out exactly what is different or exciting about your 'loved one'.

Some newspaper classified sections, fashion magazines and websites are suggesting, in their adverts, that stardom is just around the corner if you only pay a percentage of your future earnings (which could be thousands) or pay around £85 (c.$120) per annum for them to display your details or act as your agent.  They decide what you do!   *   We will e-mail you (phone if urgent) details of all approaches and thereafter you will deal directly with the casting director, model agency etc.      Some agencies require you to travel hundreds of miles, at great cost, for the chance of being selected for example Catwalk, Fashion, Promotional  or TV/Film extra work, but of course at your own expense!   This is currently Free with Royale-Promotions - but hurry, not for too long!

If you decide we are not for you please be aware of scams.    A typical scam involves certain agencies promising modelling jobs, but require you to purchase a very costly portfolio as a pre-requisite for gaining employment.   Of course this "photographer" just happens to be associated with that agency!

Please DO NOT spend a huge amount of money on photographs, but do ensure that they are of a good or above average quality, are of interest, not all in the same outfit and will promote what you are trying to 'get across' to employers (e.g. hair, face, figure etc.) and try to wear something appropriate.      Click to read : Some DO's and DO NOT's you should most definitely read are shown here  - please read  - it MAY well help you.

Please complete the form here to join Royale Promotions (Models & Talent Search) and forward a copy of your Portfolio/Biography and up to  five of your own selected (and all different), up-to-date,  photographs (please wear appropriate clothing and do not wear baggy or unbecoming clothing).

The different types of model.

High Fashion.  The most glamorous jobs are reserved for models such as Kate Moss.  These models are in the main 5'8" to 6' 0" tall and are a size 8 or less, with measurements in the range of 31-36" bust, 21-25" waist and 32-36" hips with clear and distinctive features.

Runway Modeling.    This is without doubt considered the most glamorous type of modeling which requires lots of confidence and elegance.  The model must always look cool and exude 'chic'  even wearing the most simple of clothing. The industry normally sets a minimum height condition of 5'8"  for Runway Models.  This can be a great way of gaining recognition.

Editorial Print Modeling.  This is normally work for magazines which can also include covers. This work is probably the most appealing and sought after by most models because of the wide coverage it can provide. The hours can be long and tiring.

Catalogue Model.
Self explanatory.  There are very many and different types of model required for this kind of work.

Commercial Print Modeling.   Models are photographed to promote a certain product in a whole range of areas including magazines or newspapers.

Teens (Junior Models).   Teens, and sometimes children, can obtain work in a wide area of of modeling such as TV commercials.  Junior models must generally be a minimum of 5'6"  and older than 12 years old.  Their measurements will normally be in the range 30-34" busts, 20-25" waists and 30-33" hips.

Comp Cards

A 'Business Card' is a vital piece of stationery that all models require.   It is commonly called a Comp card (Comp's, Composite or ZED card)
These cards are so important as this is all a potential client will see to make his/her decision.  A client will be looking at hundreds in one day so it is extremely important that what they see is impressive and appealing.   They should be the best you can afford (both in quality of photo's and the quality of the print).

One side of the card will have your name and agency information and a striking photo (which will immediately attract a potential client).   On the reverse you need  3 (possibly 4) different
images that reflect the different styles and looks of that model (e.g. one photo can be in a evening dress, one smart casual wear and another in a sexy
swim wear.   Somewhere on either side of the card should also have the models statistics (bust (including cup size), waist and hip measurements plus weight, colour of eyes and hair and height (in inches and cm).
